Known as the Turtle Nesting Ground of Andaman, Karmatang Beach is a long stretch of grey volcanic sand backed by coconut groves near Mayabunder.
Calm, clear water and a nearby coral reserve make it as good for snorkelling as it is for a quiet beach walk.
