Parks

The parks in Port Blair are not only a great place to spend your free time and relax with your family, but they are also a treasure trove of information about the Andaman and Nicobar Islands' unique geography, diverse marine life, and other flora and fauna. As a result, many tourists regarded these parks as important tourist destinations in Port Blair and must-see destinations during their visit to the islands.

Marina Park

Marina Park's most appealing feature is its location on the beach. So you can enjoy both the scenic view of the ocean with waves lapping at your feet and the park's attractions. A variety of children's play equipment, such as swings and slides, is installed in the park. In the evening, a stroll along the seaside walk lane in Marina Park is worthwhile, with all street lights illuminated on both sides. Many hawkers will be selling Jhalmoori, gool-gappa, and other items. From here, you can see Ross Island. Marina Park has no admission fee.

Gandhi Park

Gandhi Park, in the heart of Port Blair, offers the kind of peace one seeks, away from the relentless madness of the fast life. The Park, which was once the city's only source of drinking water, is now a symbol of natural beauty and man-made brilliance. This beautiful park, built around the Diltaman tank in only thirteen days, makes for a lovely visit with family, especially if one is bringing an entourage of tiny feet who will enjoy the amusement rides, the nature trail around the lake, and boating. The park, which features an imposing statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the centre, also contains a few other historical monuments, including the remains of a Japanese temple and a bunker, making for an interesting visit.

Jogger's Park

Holidays should not only be about the famous landmarks that you'must see,' but also about the small places of rest and quiet that bring you closer to what you wanted from your vacation- a little peace. We highly recommend Joggers' Park to all honeymooners as well as those who simply want to relax and watch the world go by. This quiet little park with its manicured gardens is missed by most visitors to the Islands. It is nestled near VIP road, at one of the highest points in Port Blair. While it is peaceful in the morning, the park only becomes truly breathtaking after sunset.

Nature Park

This Haddo-based centre, formerly known as the Mini Zoo, is a new addition to Port Blair's attractions. It is near the Haddo Jetty, the Samudrika Museum, and many popular hotels at the city's northern end. It is only 3 kilometres from the city centre and is easily accessible by taxi, auto-rickshaw, or 2-wheeler (daily rentals). There is an abundance of parking available. You must walk around because vehicles are only permitted until the entrance.
